Creating Your Morning Routine

Getting off to a good start in the morning is key to a great day for Mom, Dad and the children. Having a morning routine is so supportive to the entire family. Usually in the morning many things have to take place within a short period of time, especially if you
have young children.
Children may need to get to school at a certain time, parents may need to get to work, so the morning time can be very full.
Through the years,

I've had many different routines, each designed especially for a particular time in my life.
If you are looking to restructure your routine, I have a few suggestions.
List all the activities you need to do from the time you awaken until you need to leave the house or begin your daytime routine.
Ponder the list and then put them in order from beginning to end.
Write down approximate times for each activity.
Try it out! Revise as needed.
Recently, I did just this. I thought I only need 30 minutes for one part of my morning routine, so scheduled it in that way. However, after trying it out, I discovered I needed one entire hour, so had to adjust my timeline.
Allowing sufficient time for each activity in the morning, so you don't feel rushed gets everyone off to a great start.
